

I have experience with neither, so that's why I would like your advice - would the Nextcloud setup work? Could it write/read from my documents backup location or would I have two copies of my documents folder (backup and nextcloud)? Would it maybe make sense to only use nextcloud and sync via FTP? Would nextcloud work next to a partition for TimeMachine? And do any of you have experience with RealTimeSync?Īlso, do you have recommendations for suitable NAS storages that are around 150€? additionally hosting a Nextcloud on the NAS So the question is, how can I get the realtime sync aspect with the NAS? The two options that came to my mind are Now just having a NAS to use as target for my FreeFileSync would be fine, but I want realtime sync for my documents, preferrably also from outside my network (so if I work on thinks on my Laptop away from home, turn it off and turn on my PC, I want the changes to be there). I now have other people living in my household who would benefit from a NAS as Backup storage for TimeMachine I would like to get my files off of OneDrive (ownCloud is currently fine for me because it is hosted at my University which I trust, but not depending on it would still be nice)

My reasons to switch away from this setup are: In addition, I also use OneDrive to get my Photos and other larger files available from everywhere.
